Every client is unique and special to Michelle Everman. As a Managing Director with Mercadien’s Individual Services and Family Office Group, Michelle provides tax, estate, financial and strategic planning to high net worth families and individuals. A true team player, she serves as a financial quarterback for her clients – whether it’s ensuring tax compliance, coordinating with their advisors or converting numbers to visuals so they can easily understand their financial matters. She is there for all of their major life events and decisions, supporting them along the way.
Advising her clients on how to best handle their finances to reach their goals, Michelle is passionate about helping them succeed and strives to exceed their expectations. With a deep understanding of her client’s financial affairs and goals for their legacies, Michelle’s clients trust in her guidance and value her advice. She says, “Some people have this image of an accountant as a very dry, technical person, but if you take the numbers out, it’s all about relationships.” Working by this mantra, Michelle prides herself on the lasting relationships she’s built with her clients and keeps in touch with them on a regular basis to discuss what’s going on in their lives. She treasures these relationships and finds her clients inspiring in many ways.
Prior to joining Mercadien, Michelle gained experience working at a Big Four firm, where she worked in both the audit and tax departments. She then embarked on a different career path. Michelle graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, worked at Le Bernardin in New York City, then ran a successful catering business. Her unique ability to have a dual perspective, from that of a business owner as well as a financial services professional, allows Michelle to truly cater to her clients and better serve them. Understanding what it’s like to deal with the pressures of running a business, Michelle’s mission to always have her client’s financial back and find solutions to any problems they may be facing.
Personal Fact: Michelle loves running and doing yoga in her free time. On the weekends, you can find her and her husband cheering for their son and daughter at lacrosse and soccer games.
