Whether you are a first-year intern or at mid-level making your way onto the partner track, we have a variety of beneficial programs for you, including our classroom-based CPE training for all associates - Mercadien University.
Our internship program is open to college sophomores and juniors. Intern candidates can get to know us at the Future Leaders in Accounting Summit we host every summer right at the firm. This event is for sophomores pursuing careers in accounting who want to get a sneak peek at what it’s like to work at Mercadien. When you join our firm, on your first day, you’re connected with a “buddy” to help you learn your way around, and that mentoring continues as you advance. We also have a Young Professionals Group, professional development and marketing lunch and learns, and offer educational and certification reimbursement, which includes the CPA exam.
For those at mid-level, we provide ongoing formal training, including our Rainmakers Group, which focuses on growth and business development. Partner-led and held twice a month, the group hosts guest speakers, interactive sessions and workshops, and practical strategies for generating new business.
In addition, selected soon-to-be partners participate in an 18-month nationally-based partner development program to hone leadership, management and business development skills.
We are hands-on with our clients and with our employees. Our partners are highly involved in all these activities and hold an open-door policy so associates can ask questions and seek insight on a regular basis.
