Princeton, NJ & Philadelphia, PA – On December 6, 2024, Mercadien, a regional CPA and advisory firm, celebrated its Annual Day of Service by participating in various activities to support local charitable organizations. The firm’s associates came together to make a significant impact on the community through several meaningful initiatives.

The day commenced with the assembly of over 100 first aid kits for Mercer Street Friends, a Trenton, NJ-based nonprofit dedicated to nourishing minds and bodies and empowering families and communities. In addition to the first aid kits, Mercadien donated 340 pounds of food to support Mercer Street Friends’ mission.

Additionally, Mercadien associates built and donated 15 tricycles, 15 helmets, and over 60 blankets to the Millhill Child & Family Development Center, also located in Trenton, NJ. Millhill’s mission is to empower children and families through individualized and culturally sensitive educational and behavioral health services. These items will be distributed to children within the Millhill network.

Mercadien also made financial donations to HomeFront, an organization committed to ending homelessness in Central New Jersey, and Younity, formerly known as Womanspace, which focuses on preventing abuse and protecting families. Representatives from all four organizations attended the event to share insights about their crucial work.

Aside from the Day of Service event, Mercadien also held a Toys for Tots drive during the month of November, collecting new, unwrapped toys and monetary contributions to purchase toys for disadvantaged children. Mercadien has proudly hosted this drive since 2004, in partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
