Internal Audit and Banking Manager

The Mercadien Group continues to grow, creating the need for a Manager to become part of our Internal Audit and Banking team which is a client service team that provides risk management services for the banking industry. These services include, but are not limited to, outsourced internal audits, regulatory compliance reviews, commercial loan review activities, BSA/AML independent testing, IT audits and consulting services.
Successful candidates for this position would possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant business field
- Must hold CPA, CRCM, CAMS, CIA or other relevant professional license
- Above average computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel and must have adequate typing abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format. A strong command of the English language and grammar is necessary.
- At least 10 years of experience in a banking institution including the management of operations and/or compliance functions
- At least 5 years project coordination experience managing commercial loan review activities
- Experience in the areas of internal audit or regulatory
- Experience working indirectly as an external auditor and consultant servicing the banking industry is a plus
- Ability to access the impact of control deficiencies and inherent risks
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions to complex control, financial technical, compliance or regulatory issues
- Ability to develop and implement policy, procedures, and reviews
- Above average computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel and must have adequate typing abilities.

- Ability to work independently within a team construct, while supporting teamwork and achievement of team objectives
