The partnership began when Frank Pina, a Principal and Managing Director of the Mercadien Group, attended VIP’s Awards Night in 2012 and expressed an interest in helping achieve VIP’s mission. He organized a “Jeans for Charity” event at Mercadien that allowed all practitioners who donated to VIP to wear jeans to work on a particular day. “To incentivize maximum participation, my wife and I agreed to personally match the amount raised by the office. It turned out to be a very successful way to promote VIP and raise money for their cause,” Frank said.
