Mercadien’s Frank Pina Named to Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” List

Princeton, NJ — Mr. Frank Pina, CPA, CFF, CFE, CGMA, managing director of The Mercadien Group, principal in Mercadien, P.C., Certified Public Accountants, and a leader of its forensic and litigation support practice, has been selected for inclusion in the nationally-recognized Philadelphia Business Journal’s annual “40 Under 40” list.

Mr. Pina, a life-long resident of Philadelphia, is a certified public accountant and fraud examiner, highly regarded in the fields of corporate accounting and forensic investigations, fraud detection, bankruptcy and reorganization, and civil and criminal litigation support. Certified in financial forensics and a chartered global management accountant, he joined Mercadien in 2012. Frank’s experience includes working with large international law firms and federal, state and local law enforcement and government agencies, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the NJ Attorney General’s Office, and the Philadelphia City Comptroller’s office.

A graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Accounting and Marketing, Frank serves on the Board of Directors and Speakers Committee of the Philadelphia Area Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners and is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services committee. He is a frequent presenter and author on a variety of topics related to fraud detection, corporate investigations, forensic interviewing and internal controls.

An active civic volunteer, Frank donates time and financial support to numerous organizations, including Philadelphia VIP, the Union League of Philadelphia, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ, The Mercadien Foundation, and Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Known for its long-standing annual recognition of the most accomplished, emerging business professionals in the Philadelphia area, the Journal chose this year’s winners from a pool of 225 candidates. The honorees’ selection was based on business success, leadership ability, community involvement and influence in the region.
