Princeton, NJ & Philadelphia, PA – On December 8, 2023, Mercadien associates participated in a Day of Service event benefitting local charitable organizations. The first community service activity was building care kits for Womanspace, Inc., located in Lawrenceville, NJ. Womanspace is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “prevent abuse, protect families and change lives through empowerment and a safety net of supportive services”. These care kits include essentials needed by women and children seeking safety from domestic violence. Additionally, Mercadien associates assembled wagons, teddy bears, and blankets to be donated to the Millhill Child & Family Development Center, located in Trenton, NJ. The items will be distributed to local children within the Millhill network.

Additionally, throughout the month of November, Mercadien held a Toys for Tots drive, collecting new and unwrapped toys. Mercadien has proudly hosted a collection site for the program, sponsored annually by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, since 2004. The firm’s associates donated dozens of gifts, as well as monetary contributions to purchase toys, for distribution by the Marines to disadvantaged children in the area.
