Community Involvement
ACCOUNTING FOR A DIFFERENCE THROUGH COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
At the heart of Mercadien is our love for our community. It evolves from, and celebrates, the differences and relationships among people with whom we interact. These bring new perspectives to individuals and organizations, which almost always leads to exciting things, like innovation and inspiration. A better workplace for us. Better solutions for our clients. A better world for everyone. It all adds up.
At Mercadien, you’ll find we have a lot of passion. We believe it’s where community involvement starts. When you follow your interests or something you care about – personally or professionally – opportunities open up – not just for ourselves but for others. Making it beneficial for all involved.

PASSIONATELY SUPPORTING THE BEST IN PEOPLE
Giving back and paying it forward, our employees actively and individually step up – holding board and committee leadership positions, fundraising, volunteering, educating and mentoring, or being sponsors or in-kind contributors to many different organizations. We’re a dedicated, skilled group with a high level of energy for helping others. Our leaders make it a priority to make sure we encourage, support and recognize every professional’s efforts toward community involvement. It’s important and our employees take notice of that care.
We do a lot together too – participating in days of service, Casual for a Cause Fridays, and Mercadien Foundation initiatives. The firm also provides financial support and incentives, time during the work day, awards and recognition, and coordinates many of these activities for employees. In total, Mercadien contributes in a tangible, ongoing manner to over 100 civic and charitable organizations.
Most importantly, our individual and professional contacts, clients and truly needful constituencies appreciate our involvement and support – the help it brings to different people in many different communities. Whenever we can, whether asked or not, we’re glad to assist and make an impact in the places we work and call home.
