Through Its Women’s Initiatives Program, Mercadien Sponsors & Participates In Multiple Women’s Forums

November 2019

Mercadien Women’s Initiatives

More than half of the firm’s professionals are females and all are included in Mercadien’s Women’s Initiatives Program, which has been ongoing since 2017.  The active, continuous program provides regularly-scheduled group events where women hear from guest presenters; engage in workshops; share challenge and success stories; obtain professional development, personal growth, health and wellness tips; and are educated and inspired.  Led by Michelle Everman, CPA, PFS, CGMA, Managing Director, co-chair of the Individual & Family Office Services Groups, and board member of both the Women in Business Alliance and Dress for Success, the program also enables associates to participate in several external women’s forums each year.

As part of the commitment to gender diversity and empowerment, Mercadien was proud to sponsor, exhibit at and send attendees to four major annual women’s conferences in fall 2019.

  • NJ Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) Women Business Leaders Forum – September 19 & 20
The Women Business Leaders Forum is a two-day event that provides a place to retreat and gather with over 500 NJ women and men attendees, to network, exchange ideas, gain leadership skills, and identify how to help women make headway in corporate leadership. The annual forum, which consists of panels and keynote speakers and various workshop sessions, began in 2014.
  • Pennsylvania Conference for Women – October 2
The conference is a non-profit, non-partisan, one-day professional and personal development event for women that started in 2004 and has grown to attract 10,000+ attendees and truly impact lives. The conference offers incredible opportunities for business networking, professional development, personal growth and to hear amazing presentations from women from all walks of life.
  • New Jersey Conference for Women – October 25
The NJ Conference for Women is facilitated and managed by the Women in Business Alliance program of the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. This nationally-recognized program is designed to provide a forum to promote an environment for women to connect and build relationships, focus on professional development and growth, and is a collaboration with business and community leaders and advocates for women’s issues. It offers sell-out crowds of over 750 attendees a day of professional development and information workshops. Since the first conference in 2012, the event shares the success stories of dynamic, prosperous, women in the community and nation, and helps educate attendees on knowledge and resources needed to attain the next level of personal and career success.
  • The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Women’s Leadership Summit – November 6
Started in 2011, the 9th annual summit, hosted by the TCNJ School of Business, offered another successful day of informative and inspiring speakers and sessions to approximately 150 local women attendees and alumni.
