Advancing Opportunities provides a wide variety of services to advance the independence of children and adults with all types of disabilities, including assistive technology, community education services, family support, inclusive recreation programs, personal assistance services and residential programs. Advancing Opportunities provides advocacy to individuals with disabilities and their families, helping them lead full lives. Through their work with school districts and teachers, Advancing Opportunities helps to make classrooms and curricula accessible to students of all abilities. Another important area is working with employers to help make it possible for men and women with disabilities to earn a living as well as providing a wide variety of family support services and respite care along with residential services that allow people with disabilities to live where they choose.
Advancing Opportunities’ management is responsible for maintaining multiple offices throughout New Jersey; the footprint of technology that anchors these location is critical in delivering these important services. Prior to starting their relationship with Mercadien three (3) years ago, Advancing Opportunities didn’t have a Technology-Plan and their support was reactive, creating significant challenges with resolving problems quickly.

Advancing Opportunities is also enrolled in Mercadien’s Backup-Disaster-Recovery (BDR) program which provides tapeless data backup offsite as well Mercadien’s Office-365 service which delivers seamless, reliable email in the cloud, all for one monthly fee.
