Title: Hot Accounting Topics.

With constant changes and new regulatory requirements, nonprofits must be vigilant about maintaining their tax exempt status and ensuring compliance. This workshop will highlight the areas of focus from the IRS, as well as best practices and other accounting and tax hot topics.

Attendees will learn about:
– The rules surrounding donations, including in-kind donations, quid pro quo rules, and other contribution matters
– The rules surrounding independent contractors vs employees
– Different types of audits and when they maybe required
– Best practices for policies as well as 990 disclosures
