Description: Managing Director Lisa Thouin & Director Raji Sathappan, of Mercadien’s Financial Institutions Services Group, will be presenting a session on Fraud & Scandal – How Corporate Governance Should Handle at the Philadelphia Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) Spring Summit on May 3, 2019.
This session will cover best practices in corporate governance, recognizing present weaknesses, impact of regulation to deter fraud ( i.e. Sarbanes Oxley), prominent fraud cases and root cause analysis of failings. At the end of session, attendees will be able to understand the role of corporate governance in fraud detection, prevention and in influencing corporate culture.
Director Raji Sathappan will also participate on a panel for a fraud track workshop at the summit later in the afternoon.
The Spring Summit will focus on elevating performance and taking a leadership role in raising the standards in the workplace & individual lives.
