Workshop Description:
Due to current guidance and scrutiny, navigating finances and transactions is difficult for banks and MRBs (marijuana-related businesses). In this session, a recap of the relevant FinCEN guidance on banking MRBs, tips on training staff on typologies related to MRBs, and optimal approaches for conducting successful program audits will be presented. The focus is on providing knowledge and tools in order to strengthen risk-based monitoring related to marijuana.
