Description: Kyle Neeld, CPA, CGMA, PSA, Managing Director of Mercadien’s Nonprofit & Human Services Group will be a panelist on “Understanding the M&A Process & Potential Pitfalls” at the NJACP December Symposium on December 3 from 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM in Ewing, NJ.
Session Description: This session will explore the process that organizations go through when considering joining forces with another organization. There is still a lot of consolidation going on in the healthcare sector and mental health as well as DD/ID agencies are consolidating as well. Our panel of experts will explore the reasons why consolidation continues to be a viable choice for your organization, the process, and other questions like timing, triggering points, what criteria should an organization review during this evaluation, and how to go about identifying and thoroughly evaluating each piece of a merger. After this session participants should be able to understand:
- How to identify Merger/Acquisition targets
- Importance of Marketing your Organization
- Letter of Intent process
- Importance of identifying deal breakers early
- The due diligence processes
- Structure options
- Problems with Mergers/Acquisitions after transaction
