Bookkeeper

Mercadien, P.C., CPAs has an immediate opening for an entry level Bookkeeper to work in our outsourced accounting department. To be successful in this role, you should know how to effectively multitask, and have strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for write ups, bill paying
  • General Ledger maintenance in Quickbooks
  • Adjusting journal entries
  • Filing documents to maintain historical records
  • Miscellaneous tasks and projects for the department

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Associates degree, business certificate, or relevant working experience
  • Quickbooks or bookkeeping certification a plus
  • Above average computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel and must have adequate typing abilities
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format. A strong command of the English language and grammar is necessary.
  • Must be able to travel to the office or client location on a daily basis during core business hours
